The Balk Biological team got together last month to celebrate the holidays. The food and drinks were delicious. The white elephant present exchange was hilarious despite the absence of the glorious Bird Hat from the white elephant contributions. The Bird Hat was introduced at the first Balk holiday celebration. Amy Trexler made it as her entry to the white elephant gift exchange.
The Hat has reappeared every year with a variety of alterations. Sadly it did not return this year but an inquiry was made (we are blaming covid and the disruption to everyone’s lives) and I am hopeful it will return next year!
